Off-Roading we go!

Off-Roading is the art of skilfully manoeuvring a 4-wheel drive vehicle over arduous terrains. The driver must get from point A to B without damage to the vehicle or the operator with minimum damage to the environment.

The Mahindra Adventure Off-Road Training Academy

It is India’s first off-road training facility that lets enthusiasts get first-hand experience of off-road driving from the best in the business. Situated in the lush and wild hillsides of Igatpuri, Maharashtra, it has the terrain built for adventure. The academy provides a fleet of Mahindra Thar 4x4 CRDes’ that are exploration-ready. All you need to do is book your slot online.

Courses

Getting Dirty (Basic Course)

This course is for the first time off-road enthusiast. It’s an elementary course where participants join in the morning and are through by afternoon. The focus is to keep things simple and let participants enjoy 4WD driving in a safe and controlled environment. This course costs Rs. 6742 per head and includes the Thar CRDe 4x4 Trainer Vehicle along with trackside refreshments.

Trail Survivor (Intermediate)

This course is one level above the Getting Dirty course. Tasks from Getting Dirty are included in Trail Survivor as well, but here the theory is more technical – delving deeper into the vehicle dynamics and driving techniques. The obstacles become tougher along with the added challenge of night off-roading. The Trail Survivor is an overnight course and the course fee of Rs 16854 per head also includes twin-sharing accommodation at Nashik (Taj Gateway, Express-Inn or IBIS as per availability).
There’s no pre-requisite for entering the Trail Survivor (you don’t have to do the level 1 course to enter Trail Survivor). But in order to enter the Global Explorer Course, you must finish the Trail Survivor Course first.

Global Explorer (Advanced) (Not yet open for public)

The Global Explorer Course is slated to start in the monsoon of 2015. This course will be held over 2 nights and 2 days and will feature tougher obstacles, intense driving and a competition between the participants on the last day. A participant must complete the Trail Survivor course in order to be eligible for the Global Explorer. This will cost approximately Rs 25000 per head and will include the Thar 4x4 CRDe Trainer Vehicle, hotel accommodation (twin-sharing) and meals along with Mahindra merchandise.
Mahindra reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event without prior notice.
